That’s a lot of miles. I’d think twice about it. What’s the asking price?

Take a look at the second picture for the price.

Oh, I missed those dots showing the price. Well, that’s what cars cost nowadays. If you can get the service records, it might be worth considering.
Any car with the Theta engine is a hard no from me.
I wouldn’t touch a used Optima unless it’s certified pre-owned.

At 100k miles, even CPO doesn’t mean much.

Yeah, true enough. I just meant in general. That generation has way too many engine problems.
Skip it. The Theta II GDI is one of the worst engines of the past couple of decades. It’s a disaster waiting to happen.

It’s not really a money pit. A money pit has constant small issues. The rest of the car is fine, but if the engine fails, you’re looking at a big replacement cost. After that, it’ll probably run fine for another 100k miles.
@Zara
I think a money pit just means it’s always costing you money, no matter if the repairs are big or small.
It looks good, but I’d take it to a mechanic first to check it out.
Run away from this car as fast as you can.
The complaints report isn’t reassuring…
Check if there are any recalls on it.
I’d skip it. Kias and Hyundais start falling apart after 100k miles unless you’ve owned it from the start and taken great care of it.
I wouldn’t go for it.
Don’t do it.
With comprehensive insurance costing $225 per month, it’s a no for me.

That insurance rate is insane.
