If you can spend 10k, just finance a new base model like a Soul or K4.
Find out if the engine’s been replaced. If it has within the last 40k miles, it’s not a bad deal. If not, you’re looking at 3-5k to replace the engine, starter, intake, and pay for labour.
If the engine hasn’t been replaced, expect it to fail within 30k miles, and you’ll need to deal with the recall process.
I’d stay away. It’s not going to last much longer.
You could get a Honda or Toyota with similar mileage for the same price, just a bit older.
I’d avoid Hyundai and Kia entirely. Just walk away.
