Sportage takes 5 mins to start… what could be causing it?

I’m going to get this checked out, but I’m curious to hear what people think might be the cause in the meantime. It’s a 2023 Sportage Line Ltd.

Could it be the car battery? Sounds like it might need replacing.

Maybe it’s something with the wireless charging port? I heard something about baguettes being kept there, but it’s best to keep them under the hood for warmth. Or maybe bananas? Put them in the gas tank and the car should start right up… Don’t ask me, I don’t make the rules

I thought they were bananas

They are bananas

Sounds like a bad battery issue.

100% dying battery. That’s the usual cause of problems like this.

Could be the battery. Maybe it’s not cranking over properly.

I had the same issue. My battery only lasted about 2.5 years. Is that normal?

Batteries usually last around 5 years.

I was watching this video and the song that played afterwards was by Enya. It felt like the perfect theme song for this.

Looks like a bad battery to me.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. Seems like a bad battery might be the obvious culprit!

Not obvious enough for everyone though.

It’s the battery.

Could be the battery. How many miles have you driven it?

Your 12V battery is probably gone.

I had the same issue, turned out to be a bad battery.

I’d be so annoyed. I’d just grab an Uber before the video ends. I can’t stand issues like this. Let us know what the dealer says .

It’s clearly a dead battery. Have you never had car trouble before?
