2018 Sportage. Started my car up to this…
Merry Christmas .
Could be a faulty brake switch. Or brake fuse. Don’t panic too quickly.
Yeah, it’s probably not Kia’s fault. It could be a simple fix, but cars with good maintenance can still face minor electrical issues over time. Every car eventually has its moments.

I agree, with 100k miles, small issues are just part of it. Had a Ford once that was barely hanging together at 100k.
@Thomasenia
I had a pre-owned Soul at 64k, pushed it to 120k before things started falling apart. The previous owner didn’t take care of it. My K5 had 35k miles with great care, but I traded it in a few days ago. Now, I’ve got the Forte I’ve been wanting for over 3 years. Going for its first oil change this Thursday at 270 miles.

People seem to think buying a car will mean no issues ever. I work in warranty for a large automotive company, and I see cars worth much more than 10 or 20 Kias having problems constantly.
Edit: I meant car, not cat. That would be weird for a cat to have car problems.
@Davis
I know BMWs are expensive and seen as a status symbol, but they’re one of the worst depreciating brands. Some of their cars don’t even have dipsticks.

A lot of BMWs don’t have dipsticks anymore. Some of their models are great, but others don’t justify the price. The same goes for Porsches, Aston Martins, and supercars driven daily. I work in a dealership with almost every luxury car brand, and I see a lot of high-end cars having issues. But our Kias are reliable. My daily driver is a Kia because of the 7-year unlimited mileage warranty. We rarely have issues with them here in Australia, except for the global motor recall. When that happened, all owners got a letter to replace the motor before it failed.
@Davis
Just to clarify, I’m not blaming Kia. I was more asking for some help figuring this out.

Looks like it’s the wheel speed sensor.
I had the same warning lights on my 2017 Sportage. It turned out to be a faulty speed sensor in the left front. It was a $300 fix, but you’ll need a good mechanic. If you need more details, check my post earlier this year about my ordeal with this issue. Good luck.
Could be low battery voltage. How many times have you changed the battery in the last 6 years? If it’s 1 or none, it might be the battery.

I replaced it just a year ago.
@Donna
I had a bad battery in my Honda in under 6 months, so you should have it checked just to be sure.
The light at the top is the master warning light. It usually relates to wipers, headlamps, and isn’t anything major. The ABS light is more concerning. The others are probably related to lane assist or traction control. You can turn them off with buttons. Just my opinion.
@Princeton
The ABS light came on for me when my battery was bad in my Honda.

You mentioned you replaced the battery a year ago? Do you think it could be failing again? I’d also suggest running your VIN through the NTSB website to check for open recalls.
@Princeton
The battery was less than a year old, but when I took it in, they found it was bad and replaced it under warranty. Everything works fine now.
