I’ve been having the same issue with my park assist when it snows.

It’s probably snow or slush blocking the sensors.

Yeah, for me it’s usually ice from the freezing and thawing.

That makes sense! The sensors looked clean, but I’ll clean them tomorrow to see if that fixes it. Thanks .
I drove through the Sierras last weekend in heavy snow. So many sensor errors popped up that I thought my car might shut down.
This can happen when there’s debris, snow, or rain on the sensors. If the weather is clear, it might be worth going to the dealership. It could be a faulty sensor or a calibration issue.
This has happened to me a couple of times. Both times, the car just needed a wash. As soon as it was clean, the problem stopped.
Could it be snow or slush buildup?
I had the same issue today. The weather kept switching between rain, flurries, and snow.
That’s probably the parking sensors on the front bumper. They’re small circles on the bumper. My 2024 model is very sensitive to snow buildup there.
This started happening to me randomly. Then the whole system failed a few weeks later. I had just exited the expressway when I got a bunch of safety alerts, the dashboard shut off, and I lost power steering. The dealership said the alternator was overcharging and replaced it. No problems since then. This was in September on a 2023 model, but I just got a 2024 with the same trim.
I’m in Arizona where there’s no snow, but this keeps happening to me too. I’m thinking of taking it to the dealership because it’s so frustrating.
My wife had this issue. It turned out to be a loose connection. The dealership fixed it during a recall repair on her 2024.
This happened to me for the first time the other day when I was stopping far back from a red light. It went away after a couple of seconds. My car’s a bit dirty, so maybe that’s affecting it. I usually keep it clean, but it’s been cold, and I can’t afford a car wash right now since I lost my job.
You might have a ghost messing with your car.
Try recalibrating the sensors. If you can find the front sensor, clean it with a cheesecloth and some Rain-X.

Is there a recall for the sensors?

Not a recall, just recalibration.
@jonces
Oh, I also thought you meant recall. Does Rain-X make a big difference?
