I’ve tried messing with the settings to get the updated time, but nothing changes. Last time, it took a few days to update on its own, which seems outdated. Is there something I’m missing here? Do I need to adjust a setting manually?
I ended up just unchecking the DST setting in the menu. Tapping on the time on the Home Screen helped me get there.

Same here. It’s disappointing that a car with all this tech still requires manual input for something like this.
@SorentoRanger
Exactly. All my other devices do this automatically without me doing anything.

Wait, so you’re saying I need to manually check or uncheck the DST setting depending on whether it’s daylight savings time or not? I thought it was supposed to adjust automatically if that option was selected.

I agree. Even my wife said, for a 2024 car, how can it not automatically display the correct time? Come on, Kia.
@marinbeyer
Not every state follows the same DST rules. Are you suggesting Kia should track your location all the time to ensure your clock is accurate?

I’m not asking for that, but every phone has been doing it for the last 20 years. Why can’t my car do the same?
@marinbeyer
That’s because Google or Apple can pinpoint your exact location using GPS. Your car doesn’t have that kind of precise tracking.

I wonder if the DST setting will still need to be checked for March 2025.
Mine didn’t auto-update either. I had to change it manually.
I had the same issue. I had to go in and change the daylight savings setting. Honestly, if you select automatic time, it should update based on where you are, without needing to select daylight savings time. Seems like a manual process that shouldn’t be necessary.
@Mickey
Exactly. Like our phones, it should just set automatically. The manual adjustment is for those who want to mess with the time by a few minutes.
Just uncheck it.

Seems like people don’t realize we’re in standard time now. Unchecking DST is the right move because we’re no longer in daylight savings time. Also, some states don’t even observe DST, so it could be automatic.
@LyamGenesis
Arizona doesn’t do daylight savings, but my car changes time zones automatically. Why not DST too?

I always thought that was the point of unchecking DST, so it knows whether to adjust the hour. I never assumed it would change automatically.
It’s maddening that I have to do it for each profile separately.

It makes sense if someone moves between areas with different DST rules. You could set up a profile for each and switch between them quickly.
@LebronJames
I don’t think that’s the right solution. It would be easier just to turn DST on and off instead of switching profiles.
