I’m looking for a video that shows how to replace the idler and tensioner pulley assembly on a 2006 Kia Optima LX 2.7L V6. We’ve figured out that the issue is with the pulley because the serpentine belt isn’t moving the pulley, and the starter just makes a whining noise when we try to start it. Anyone have a good video tutorial or instructions?
Here’s a good video that might help: [YouTube Link]. It walks through the process of replacing the idler and tensioner pulley assembly.

Thanks, I’ll check it out and see if it’s what I need.
If you’re not comfortable doing it yourself, it might be worth taking it to a mechanic. It’s not a super complicated job, but having the right tools helps.

Yeah, I might just take it in tomorrow if I can’t figure it out from the videos.
Make sure you have a good serpentine belt tool to relieve tension. It makes the job a lot easier.

Good to know, I’ll check if I have the right tools for it.
I replaced mine recently, and it’s not too bad if you follow a video tutorial. Just be patient, especially when loosening the tensioner.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll take it slow if I end up doing it myself.
