Hallo…
So my wife just called to let me know that the headlights on our 2021 Kia XCeed aren’t working at all—neither in auto mode nor manual. I’m planning to check it out tonight, but I couldn’t find any info about headlight fuses in the fusebox diagram in the manual.
Has anyone dealt with this before or have any suggestions on what I should look for? Are there any common problems I should be aware of, or could it be something more complicated? I’d really appreciate any tips!
Best regards…
Look for the fuse designated for headlights or external lighting.
Examine the glass enclosure for any signs of a blown fuse, such as a broken filament.
To check if the lights work, try adjusting the headlight switch to different locations.
A mechanic may be required to replace the switch if it is malfunctioning.
Examine the headlight bulbs for evidence of burnt-out filaments or damage.
Refer to your owner’s handbook to determine the correct wattage and kind of bulb to use in lieu of a burnt-out one.
To ensure the relay is operating properly and maintaining continuity, use a multimeter. If the relay is faulty, replace it with a new one.
If the headlights on your XCeed are automatically on, make sure the light sensor is operating properly. The sensor might need to be changed if it is malfunctioning.
Look for any indications of dampness or moisture inside the headlight housings.
Repair: In order to stop additional damage, it would be necessary to have any existing moisture dealt with by a specialist.
