I really like everything about this car, but these serious recalls are starting to make me nervous. Is the Telluride still a good choice? Is it reliable despite this?
I wouldn’t stress too much about the recalls. What’s more important is how quickly the company fixes them. I’ve had 3 Tellurides and I love them. Any recall I’ve had has been addressed promptly. No car company is immune to recalls, and all cars will have them eventually.
@Yoon
Wait a second, the first Telluride came out in 2019, how have you had 3 already?
@Yoon
With the complexity of today’s vehicles and all their sensors and modules, there’s bound to be issues with almost any new car.
Maybe you should look into brands that have no recalls? Check that out and let us know what you find.

That was hilarious! I thought about saying the same thing but didn’t want to sound too sarcastic. Thanks for the laugh on a Tuesday morning.

Just so you know, that’s a joke. No brands are without recalls, it’s just part of car ownership!
If you’re worried about recalls, maybe it’s best to avoid buying any car. Toyota, Ford, GM, and many others have them. I own a 2023 Telluride and it’s the best. I’ve had recalls, but it’s no big deal.

I immediately thought of those Toyota airbag recalls when you mentioned that!
@BRANDON
Or how about the Tundra motor recall?
The Telluride is very reliable. It’s not just that car—my wife has one and I have a Silverado, both have had recalls. Anything made between 2020 and now will have recalls.
I bought mine in August or September and haven’t had any recalls so far.
You can tell someone watches the news without them even saying it. All car companies have recalls. I bet the headlines you see about the Telluride are making you nervous. If you saw a headline saying, ‘All Tellurides eligible for a plastic case swap-out for the seat,’ no one would even notice. Go for the Telluride, enjoy it. Be more cautious of other drivers on the road than your SUV .
Bought mine in April. There was one recall in September, but it was fixed in about 30 minutes. I love the car .
I have a 2024 model. It had 2 recalls, but both were fixed in about 30 minutes. I really like the car!
It would be tough to think of a car model that hasn’t had recalls, let alone entire brands.
The recalls are really minor. They’re not a big deal at all. Don’t let a few upset people scare you away from a great vehicle.

I get that it’s a minor issue, but having a recall notice telling you to park away from your home until your car is fixed isn’t something you can ignore. Still, I love my Telluride and will probably stick with Kia.
@NiroNomad
They fix those issues while you’re at the dealership. They make sure everything is done before you even leave with the car. So, it’s really not a big deal.

I get it, but if my house burned down because of a power seat motor, I’d be a little upset. Also, mine isn’t a new car.
