Should I Buy a 2018 Kia Sorento with High Miles?

How is ur day?

I’m checking out a 2018 Kia Sorento EX with the 3.3L V6. It’s got 174k miles on it, and they’re asking $9k. Yeah, I know that’s a lot of miles, but I haven’t found anything else with the same features and AWD that fits my budget.
The owner says most of the miles are from highway driving, and it’s been serviced every 3 months. I don’t drive much—had my current car for 3.5 years and only put 17k miles on it—so I’m thinking I could still get some good use out of it
What do you guys think? Worth the risk or is the mileage too much? Best wishes…

It might be a wise purchase if you can locate a reasonably priced, well-maintained 2018 Kia Sorento and you’re willing to take on the associated risks. Doing your research, though, is crucial to avoiding any possible issues later on. :unamused:

To be sure the vehicle has received routine maintenance, ask for a comprehensive history of repairs.
 Inspect for any completed major repairs or replacements.

Get the automobile checked out by a mechanic to look for wear and tear, particularly on the brakes, engine, transmission, and suspension.
:confounded: Keep an ear out for any strange noises and pay attention to how the car drives.

Obtain a Carfax report to look for any damage from floods, title problems, or accidents.
:open_mouth:Get a pre-purchase inspection from a reliable mechanic.

A automobile with a high mileage may not be defective, but it may also be showing signs of wear and tear. The type of driving the vehicle—on a highway, in a city, or off-road—can have an effect on its state.
