Hey all, I’m getting a ‘malfunction alert’ that says to check the owner’s manual, with the RAB warning light showing up on the dash. The car was just washed, so the rear sensors should be clean. Anyone know what might be causing this?
If your sensors are clean, it might be a faulty sensor causing the system to throw an error. Sometimes just one sensor going out can mess with the RAB.

Makes sense. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll have to get it checked out.
Had the same issue on my Nissan. It turned out to be a loose wiring connection to one of the sensors. Once it was fixed, the warning went away.

Good to know, I’ll ask the shop to check that too.
You could bring it into any shop with a good scan tool. They don’t have to be Nissan, just need to be able to read the vehicle’s system.

Yep, any reputable shop should be able to scan it for you.
The RAB will be disabled while that light’s on, but it’s still safe to drive until you can get it looked at.
Sometimes a hard reset (disconnecting the battery for a few minutes) can clear the warning, but it’s best to have it checked if it keeps happening.
