Hallo…
I’ll keep it short. Bought a 2024 Sportage EX less than two weeks ago, and already having issues.
Within 6 days, the car wouldn’t unlock with the key fob. () Tried locking/unlocking a few times, still nothing. Took the key out of the fob and tried using the physical key in the door, but it felt jammed. wtf… ()
We tried remote starting the car, which worked, but still couldn’t unlock the doors. Had to hold the unlock button down to roll down the front windows and open the doors manually.
Once inside, the dash lit up with yellow warning lights and messages like: Check Lane Safety, Check Forward Safety, Check Speed Limit System, etc. The car was in park the whole time. Tried rolling the windows down again, but then they wouldn’t go back up. ()
After a few minutes, everything just went back to normal. The warnThe warnings disappeared, the windows worked, and we could lock/unlock like nothing happened.
Then, to top it off, I find the car’s price tag under the driver’s seat. It says “Was: $30,590, Now: $27,995” but I paid $32k. ()
Now I’m planning to take the car back to the dealer to get it checked out, but I’m wondering what my other options are. I’ve had it for less than 3 weeks, the door issue, the car glitching, and the fact that I apparently paid $5k more than the tag. Love the car overall, but I seriously feel ripped off by the dealer.
I know I probably fell for the usual sales tactics and didn’t do enough research. Do you think the dealer will offer anything if I bring up how unhappy I am since it’s been less than a month since I bought it?
Hope i will get ur help…
