Need help with my car problem

I hope you made it back home alright. If you have a small wrench, try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 10 seconds. That should clear the warning.

Maybe avoid downshifting at high RPMs?

Try shifting manually, it might help.

The car feels perfect otherwise.

Did that help with the beeping, even temporarily?

No, it’s still beeping every 3 seconds with the alert.

How old is your KIA? It looks like a KIA.

The car was off when this picture was taken, so that’s why the engine and oil lights are on.

I saw a few things in the pic.

@Myles
The pic shows 13390 miles.

The key was on, but the vehicle wasn’t running.

Did you manage to make it back safely?

I’ve got about an hour and 10 minutes left and the car is running fine. Thanks for checking on me.

The sensor is still acting up though.

It’s a 2023 Sportage.

That’s unfortunate! You should definitely take advantage of the 7-year warranty.

@vincent
I’m currently on the Pennsylvania Turnpike heading to Ohio and still have 4 hours to go from NJ. Is there any way to get rid of the alert before then?

The engine light also indicates an issue with emissions management. If your car is diesel and in limp mode, it might be the DPF. If it’s petrol or hybrid, I’m not sure what to say. Either way, you might want to have it towed to the dealership if it’s still under warranty. Good luck with it.

@GriffinOtiz
The car was off, and the key was in the on position, which is why the engine light is on. It’s not on when the car is running. Thanks anyway for your input.
