My wife just had our third baby boy last Thursday, and two days before, I picked up this 2025 SX. I kind of hate to admit how much I like it! Not into hybrids, so I went for the 3.5L version… and it’s got some solid power, which is a nice surprise. The whole family is loving it.
But I need to swap out the wheels – seriously, Kia, what were you thinking with these ones?
Welcome to the club, Carnibro! Definitely look into some all-weather matte, full tint around the windows, including the windshield and sunroofs, and PPF on the front quarter.

Can you explain what PPF and Tux Mats are? Thanks .
@Miller
PPF stands for paint protection film. It’s a clear layer that protects your paint from chips, bugs, scratches, etc. Tux Mats are heavy-duty floor mats designed to handle all weather conditions.
I didn’t get Tux Mats, but you can find them on Amazon. I bought a different brand there, and they cover everything well. They’re great for families – I’ve got four kids and they handle it all.

Already booked my tint appointment and ordering Tux Mats soon. I’ll do PPF at the same time – the rocks here in AZ really mess up the paint on the front.

Got the 2025 SX too but went with the dark edition… those stock wheels were just way too ugly!
I thought about the dark edition, but the ones I found had the wheels without the blacked-out emblems. Might get some Telluride wheels or something and do the emblems myself in matte black to get that DIY dark edition look.
@RioRider
Yes! I posted about this! Got the dark edition back in July, but they didn’t black out the emblems back then. I ended up debadging and putting a black emblem on the front.
Some people here said the newer models are coming with the blacked-out look now.
@TurboTraveler
Yeah, mine might have been on the lot a while because I got a great deal. I don’t mind though; I wasn’t a fan of the dark edition wheels either. I was already planning to swap them out.
