I’m thrilled to finally own a Telluride after years of wanting one. Picked it up today! Does anyone have advice for someone new to these cars? Planning to check out videos tomorrow to learn all the features. Also, we’ll be travelling with a 90-pound dog, so any tips for making that easier would be amazing.
That’s great. Let me know if you notice any issues the earlier models had. We’re thinking of getting one mid-year.

Will definitely keep you updated .
Get a backseat cover that goes across the seats for your dog. It’s perfect for road trips.

Which one did you get? I’m buying a Telluride now and need something for my dogs.
@KnowNose
Got it from another thread on this forum. It hasn’t arrived yet, so I can’t say how good it is, but here’s the link:

Congrats! I just got the same trim. It’s got a lot of features, but you’ll figure it out. I’ve found oil changes every 5K miles work best. Also, some people report trim pieces coming loose after car washes, so I stick to hand washing or touchless car washes. There are loads of settings to customise, like trunk opening speed, height, and automatic door locks. You can even change the dashboard screen display. It’s worth reading the manual to make sure you get the most out of it.
@Rowen
Thanks for the tips! I had no idea you could adjust the trunk speed. That’s so helpful.
We’ve got the same colour! Ours has been great mechanically—23K miles on a 2024 SX-P with no issues other than trim pieces that were fixed under warranty. We’ve done long trips in it, and it’s super comfortable. Congrats, you’ll love it!
@Luchivya
That’s so reassuring to hear. Thanks for sharing .
Hope you don’t experience the window trim flying off on the highway like I did. Took 16+ weeks for the dealer to fix it.

That doesn’t happen to most people, but I get your frustration. Enjoy the car though!
That car is a beauty .

Completely agree!
What did you pay for it? Just wondering because I got mine a few months ago.

Good question. Sticker price was $52,350, but after a lot of negotiating and a trade-in, it came to about $50K. We also financed it over 72 months. Bought it on the last day of the year, so I think we got a decent deal.
If you leased it, how’s the payment? I’m considering one but need to see what’s affordable monthly.

It’s not a lease, just a purchase.

Thanks. I know leases are usually new cars, but was curious.
