Hey everyone, does this estimate look right? It seems really expensive. I used to own a Wagon R and the service costs were only around 7-8k max. This is the 4th paid service for my car, which has now run 20k. The total estimate they’ve given me is 13k. Does that seem fair or should I do something about it?
You’re posting on this forum, please mention if the currency is in INR or it might confuse people.

I was like, what??? This is insane until I realised it isn’t in USD
@nesh
Yeah, it’s literally about $15. I own a Seltos too, and my first service cost me around $100.

What currency are we talking about here?
Indian rupees.
Looks like a pretty good price for about 165 US dollars.
I almost had a heart attack! Indian rupees? That’s around 130 pounds UK.
I’ve never even heard of some of the things on this list. Not sure about the currency, but I’m skeptical about wheel balancing and alignment costing that much. You probably don’t need those services. A lot of the stuff on that bill might not be necessary. Feels like they’re just trying to take advantage of you.
@Zara
That would be like $154.
This is crazy. The service costs as much as or even more than a used car. You should try another mechanic or dealer. I’d say most, if not all, of these services aren’t even needed.

What should I keep from the list?
@SorentoRanger
Nothing. You should go somewhere else. Not a car dealer.
@SorentoRanger
The price seems fair, at least by North American standards.
