I noticed a small hose hanging under my Kia K5, and it’s leaking something. I think it’s water, but IDK. Anyone know if that’s normal?
Pretty sure it’s just the AC drain tube. Mine does the same thing sometimes, especially when it’s humid. Nothing to worry about!

Oh, that makes sense. I live in a pretty humid area, so that’d explain it!
@pepelar
Yep! Honestly, if it wasn’t leaking water, that’d be more of a problem!
If it’s clear water, you’re good! But if you see anything else—like oil—then that’s a whole different issue.

True! Saw oil under my car once… wasn’t fun.
Happened to me last week! Was worried, too. Turns out it’s normal after using the AC for a while.

Yeah, I just started noticing it after a long drive with the AC on. Makes sense now!
I’d double-check if it’s water, just in case. But if it’s clear, it’s the AC. Pretty common.

Yep, checked and it’s clear. Thanks for confirming!
A mechanic once told me it’s only an issue if nothing comes out. Guess it means the AC is doing its job!

Good to know! Appreciate the reassurance.
