How can one program a Kia key fob with push start functionality?

It’s quite simple. Here’s what you need to do to program your Kia key fob for a push start:

  1. Close all the doors and put your key into the ignition slot.
  2. Turn the key off and then on repeatedly until you see the door locks cycle. Make sure to end with the key turned on.
  3. Press either the lock or unlock button on your key fob. If the doors respond by locking or unlocking, then your key fob is programmed.
  4. Finally, turn the ignition off. If the door locks cycle again, it means the programming mode is finished.

Close all the doors and insert the key into the ignition.
Turn the key off and then on repeatedly until the door locks cycle. End with the key turned on.
Press the lock or unlock button on the key fob. If the doors lock (or unlock), the key fob is programmed.
Turn the ignition off.
