Hey everyone! Has anyone else had to replace their tail light bulbs almost every year? I have a 2016 Sorento LX with convenience package. Every December since I got it in December 2019, I’ve had to change either the driver’s side or passenger side brake light bulb. It’s like the car knows I dislike winter and struggles with removing the light housing! This year and last year, each bulb was completely black. Does anyone know if there are any shortages I should watch out for? When I replace the bulbs, I wear gloves to avoid getting oils from my hands on them. I also use Sylvania bulbs. Any advice would be appreciated! I’m getting tired of doing this every year.

It is confusing how rapidly your Sorento’s tail lights that use high-quality Sylvania bulbs burn out. Vibration, cold temperature, and electrical issues could all be contributing factors. Get a mechanic to examine the lighting circuit for problems. They might advise taking precautions or recommending more robust bulbs. Finding a long-term solution is crucial because yearly replacements appear extravagant. If you need any additional assistance, let me know!

The quality of the brake light bulbs, the driving environment, and the frequency of use of the car can all affect how often a 2016 Kia Sorento has to have its brake light bulbs changed.
