I’m searching for a new Sorento SUV. I wanted to get the X-line S model with a regular 4-cylinder engine.
I found a dealer who sells it for the regular price, but they only have the X-line EX model available. It comes with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and a new kind of transmission called a dual clutch.
After looking into it more, it seems like some Sorentos are having problems with their transmission, especially the ones with the turbo engine and dual clutch. I’m not sure how common this problem is, but I’ve seen quite a few reviews mentioning it.
Should I avoid buying this SUV because of this issue, or is the new Sorento generally reliable?
