The piece seems to be part of the main mirror structure.
If you’re handy or know someone who is, you could get the part and install it yourself. If not, you could try gluing it back with epoxy and holding it in place while it sets.

@NiroNavigator
Thanks for the advice .
I think they only sell the mirrors as a full unit instead of individual parts. Your best option might be to check a local junkyard for the piece you need from a wrecked car. If you can remove the plastic, it could save you some money.
@breezy
Thanks! We’re also exploring used mirrors as a more affordable option.
Replacing the mirror is pretty straightforward. There are tutorials on YouTube, and it should take around 20 minutes, even if it’s your first time. You’ll need to pop the coloured cap off and attach it to the new mirror since replacements usually come unpainted.
@Vince
Appreciate it! I’ll look into those guides.
You can probably fix it by putting the pieces back together and using super glue. Later, you could touch up the cracks with paint. It won’t be perfect, but spending $2,200 on a mirror isn’t reasonable.
@Murphy
Thanks! I’ll give this a try first. Honestly, I’d rather drive around with duct tape than pay $2,200 for a mirror.

Same thing happened to us with our new 2022 SX Prestige. We ended up going through insurance since our mirror was completely smashed, but it was during Covid, so the quotes were ridiculous. Supply should be better now. I’d follow the advice to check YouTube and try fixing it yourself.
@raju
Did your insurance rates go up after filing a claim? Mine said this would count as an ‘at-fault accident,’ which could make my rates skyrocket. Seems unfair.

Luckily, our rates didn’t increase. We just paid the $500 deductible and moved on.
@raju
If I were in your situation now, I’d look up a parts diagram, go to the dealership, and order only the pieces you need. That might save you some cash.
@raju
That’s great for you! I’m just worried about risking the rate increase if I go through insurance. What a hassle.
@raju
Maybe you have accident forgiveness with your insurance?

If the fix doesn’t work, check eBay from time to time. You might find a good deal eventually.
“My husband,” Sure…
Just kidding.
I checked eBay, and there are loads of listings for 2022 Telluride SX mirrors, most under $300. It’s probably the cheapest option if you’re trying to save money.

@ForteFanatic
Thanks! We ordered one earlier today. It’s a different colour, but we should be able to swap out the parts or paint it. If it works out, I’ll update this post.
Sorry you’re dealing with this. I’ve done the same thing twice—once to my wife’s car and years later to my own. Now I get nervous every time I back out of the garage.
