Of course we don’t get it in the US. It looks awesome, I would drive it

I thought you just made that up but I looked it up and it’s real. We just can’t have modestly nice things can we

What about the Hyundai Santa Cruz? It is a light truck. Or is it not classed as a truck? I have a buddy who has one and it is about the same size/class as the Ford Maverick.
@DolphGabbana
Santa Cruz is manufactured in Alabama.

Ah, so they are able to get around the tax, makes sense. Forgot about that loophole.

I really need this beauty in Canada, but it seems manufacturers are allergic to bringing mid-size pickups to the North American market

I feel like that’s because they think Americans only want to drive a huge truck, but most who drive them don’t even need a truck that big
@Tracy
A lot of people who drive trucks don’t even need them, and never use their functionality.
@Tracy
Sadly it goes hand-in-hand with Americans only buying them, but they’re mostly buying them because there’s only one good option on the market for mid-size and it’s almost the same price as the full-sized options and has half the ability too

Same here, until I actually read this post and looked at the pictures, I thought I gotta watch for these on the lots in my area. Definitely would have been a contender for my next vehicle
This reminds me of the old Volvos.
The interior AC vents remind me of Honda

I was thinking the same thing! Usually, Kia adds unique touches to their interiors, but lately they have been copying from other manufacturers.
@Evanson
It’s because many of their design team came from or worked with other companies. For instance, the design team for Genesis includes a lot of people who have worked all over VW Group, as well as GM, Mercedes, Bugatti, Ferrari, and BMW (to name a few). Genesis’ lead designer, Luc Donvkerwolke, joined Hyundai directly from VW.
Something about it looks really familiar and I can’t quite put my finger on it.

They are civilian versions of Kia’s military vehicles that they make for South Korea. Very similar to Humvee to Hummer, and have pretty similar boxy, hard edge styling. I’m curious how they do.
@Sung
Ah, that makes sense. I’m curious as well. Would love to see numbers like towing spec and gross vehicle weight. They have a Jeep Gladiator crossed with a Silverado quality to them with a little bit of inbred Dodge. The weirdly rounded windscreen sticks out for some reason but the big win I see here is roof rails. That’s really useful
