I own a 2017 Soul EV and noticed something strange with the heated steering wheel yesterday. After a trip lasting about an hour and 15 minutes, I used the heated steering wheel for the last half hour. When I arrived at my destination, I turned off the car as usual—I didn’t switch off the steering wheel heater separately, just pressed the power button after parking.
When I returned to the car several hours later, the steering wheel was hot, as if it had stayed on while the car was off. There was no drop in the battery range since I had checked it earlier and had enough to get home.
Has anyone else experienced this? I’m planning to mention it to the service department when I take it in on Monday for the battery recall.

Please tell me more about the recall—I didn’t know about it! What should I do?
I did some more research and found the actual recall notice. It’s not officially released to the public until May 26. You should receive a notification by mail. I think I might be part of a test group. I’ll update you tomorrow when I have more information.
