I’ve been following this forum for a while and got a lot of advice when choosing between the Carnival and other options. After doing my research, I was pretty sure this was the right car for my family, but test driving it and seeing your comments made the decision easier. The dealership experience was a bit frustrating—I had to walk away from one place after dealing with eight different people—but I found another dealer that treated me better and gave me a better price.
This car has been a great fit so far. It’s spacious, comfortable, and packed with features we wanted. I’m really happy with it .

Glad to hear you’re happy! Do you mind sharing the final price you got for your trim before taxes and fees?
@MaxKiaEnthusiast
Sure! The MSRP was $47,900. With extras like a cargo mat, carpeted floor mats, wheel locks, crossbar, and the Dark Edition in blue, the sticker price came to $51,340. They also threw in a tow hitch for free, bringing it to $52,040. After negotiating, I paid $49,500, which came to about $50,100 with doc and registration fees. After taxes, the total was around $53,500. My advice is to contact multiple dealers, tell them you’re comparing prices, and don’t settle for the first offer you get.
@fabricia
That’s helpful, thanks! Which area are you in?

I’m on the West Coast. The final price before taxes and fees was $50,100 after all the discounts.

Which dealer and city? I’ve been looking at getting one too.
That’s a sweet ride! Welcome to the Carnival crew.

Haha, love it. Enjoy your new car .
How much did you end up paying? Was it close to the MSRP?

Thanks for the details! It looks great. We’re considering a Carnival too because our Pacifica hybrid is in the shop for a new transmission. We used to have a Sedona and loved it until it got totaled in a rear-end crash.
@Nathan
We looked at SUVs first but needed something bigger. The Carnival caught our eye because it doesn’t look like a typical minivan. We test-drove the Sienna and Odyssey but liked the Carnival the most for its features and price. The battery drain issue worried us at first, but it seems fixed now.
Welcome to the group. The car looks awesome. Enjoy it .
Why did you pick the SX over the SXP?

We liked the extra features on the SX compared to the EX, but the SXP didn’t seem worth the extra cost to us. We tried out an SXP in person to be sure, but we stuck with the SX because it gave us the best value for what we needed.
Did you black out the headlights? Looks good. Did you do anything to the C pillar?

Nope, I didn’t touch anything. It’s the Dark Edition Astra Blue. The only exterior change was adding crossbars.
Beautiful car. Enjoy driving it .
