Hi everyone, my battery is about to be replaced and I also received a recall notice. I had some questions about this, but they weren’t answered by the dealership. Can anyone help?
I’m following this to learn more as you find out. I have a 2017 model with a replacement battery.
I have a 2016 model and replaced the battery in 2020. I called the dealership, and they said the software update isn’t ready yet.

Same here; got a letter in the mail and when I called their phone line, they said to just wait for now. That was about two weeks ago.
I have a 2016 Soul EV+ with the original battery. It has 68k miles.
I understand your frustration. It can be really annoying when you don’t get the answers you need.

From your post, it sounds really frustrating…
I hope everything gets sorted out with your battery replacement and recall.

The new battery has been installed a few weeks ago. The range is now 126 miles on a full charge.
Update - Got the battery back today. The mileage is up to 125. It might take a few cycles to show its true condition.
I asked a lot of questions, but they only told me ‘it’s a new battery.’
Sorry I can’t provide more info.
How long did the replacement process take? I have a 2016 EV with the original battery and 36k miles.

It took a week to get the battery and two days to install it.
Not everyone has the same experience. I think many people have had to wait months to get the battery.
@Adam
Yeah, that’s much faster than what I’ve heard. I’m still waiting for Kia to approve the battery replacement. I’m only getting about 32 miles on a full charge
