Bass is weak on my 2025 Kia K5 GT Line

Hey everyone! I bought my K5 about three weeks ago, and the bass is really disappointing. In my Nissan, the bass would shake the car, and I was told this car would do the same, but it doesn’t. Does anyone have suggestions on how to improve the bass?

You might want to install a subwoofer.

Didn’t they let you test the sound system before buying? My newer cars have pretty weak bass too. Subwoofers can fix that, but it might be tricky with modern dashboard setups.

They did let me test drive it, but I didn’t check the sound system. Totally my fault.

Yeah, it’s strange how sound quality seems to have taken a hit. Some settings might help, but it didn’t do much for me. Adjusting it for just the driver actually made it worse in my opinion, but maybe it’ll help you.

The base speakers in the K5 are pretty bad. The Bose premium package sounds much better.

When I had my 2021 K5, I ended up replacing the speakers, adding an amplifier, and installing a mini subwoofer. It made a big difference. The issue is that the stock radio doesn’t provide enough power to the speakers, which is why the sound is so weak. That’s why an amplifier helps.

Did you go into the settings and turn up the bass?

Weird… my GT Line Forte sounds amazing.

Do you have the Bose system or the basic one? If it’s the basic system, you can’t expect much.
