Are the safety features on the 2025 Kia Soul to be trusted?

I’ve been reading up on the 2025 Kia Soul and it seems loaded with safety features. IDK, but does anyone else feel like they’ve really upped their game this time? From stuff like Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist to High Beam Assist, it looks pretty solid. But NHTSA hasn’t dropped the crash test ratings yet… thoughts?

Yeah, the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist sounds great. Does it work well in city traffic though?

Good question. From what I’ve heard, it’s supposed to kick in quickly, especially in busy areas. Anyone else got more info?

I think it’s meant for urban driving too, but IDK exactly how effective it is. They say it helps a lot with avoiding minor fender benders.

Tbh, I’m more interested in the Lane Keeping Assist. Sometimes my mind wanders on long drives, and it seems like a lifesaver. Does it beep or take control of the steering?

It kinda does both. If you start to drift, it nudges the wheel and gives you a warning. Pretty cool feature.

Wait, does ‘nudge the wheel’ mean it straight up takes control of the car?

Nah, it’s more like a gentle correction. You still have full control. Just a little help to keep you in line.

Anyone tried the Highway Drive Assist? Semi-autonomous driving sounds cool, but I feel like I’d be paranoid using it. :joy:

Same here! But apparently, it works great on highways. Adjusts speed for curves and keeps you centered. Not sure I trust it 100%, though.

Lol, imagine relaxing too much and forgetting you still need to steer. But yeah, these features are getting impressive.

Btw, what’s this Driver Attention Warning thing? Does it just yell at you when you’re tired or what?

Pretty much! It tracks your driving behavior, and if it thinks you’re not focused, it tells you to take a break. Kind of like a digital backseat driver. :joy:

Lol, sounds useful for those long road trips. Or just when you’re zoning out. :eyes:
