Anyone Tried DIY Kia Navigation Updates? Need Advice

Hallo,

I took my 2015 Kia Forte Koup SX in for routine maintenance last week and asked about getting the navigation system updated. The dealership wanted to charge me $90 and said it’d take a few hours to download and install.
I figured I’d try to save some money and do it myself at home using the Kia navigation update software on my desktop, but I’m having trouble. I couldn’t find the exact update for my 2015 Forte Koup SX — the closest I found was for the 2017 model. :astonished:
Has anyone else done this themselves? How hard was it? If you managed to get it done, I’d love to hear how! Any advice or tips would be awesome!

Regards…

Indeed, a lot of Kia owners  have updated their own navigation systems effectively. It’s a reasonably basic process, but it’s crucial to follow the correct stages and have the relevant files.

Visit Kia’s official website to see if there are any available updates for your vehicle’s navigation system.

Once you’ve located the updates, download them to your computer.

To begin the updating procedure, adhere to the on-screen directions. :disappointed:

Make sure the update files you download are appropriate for the particular model and year of your Kia at all times.
