Anyone know the color codes for 2012 Kia Soul ignition switch?

Hey all, I’m trying to wire up my 2012 Kia Soul for remote start but I’m a bit lost with the ignition switch color codes… anyone know which wire is which? Appreciate any help here!

I feel you, these diagrams can be confusing. From what I remember, red is 12 volts, yellow is for accessories, and pink is ignition 1. Hope that helps!

Yeah, same here… took me forever to figure that out on mine, lol. There’s also a white wire, but that’s constant 12 volts too!

@Danielle
Good call on the white wire! FYI, there’s a second white one that just sits between the yellow and pink—it doesn’t connect to anything for the remote start setup.

Wait, so what about the starter wire? I think it’s blue on mine.

Yep, you’re right—blue is for the starter. I just set mine up last week and that was the one I used for it.

Also, heads up—if you’re adding a brake switch wire, it’s usually red with an orange stripe by the brake pedal. Just had to do mine.

Got it, thanks! That’s exactly what I needed for the brake switch.

Hey, anyone know if this setup works for models with a smart key kit? Just curious if there’s a difference.

Pretty sure it’s the same. I have the smart key setup, and the wiring is identical from what I’ve seen.

Last question… how do you hook up the horn? Trying to get it to honk with the remote lock.

That’s a good one! Should be in the EM11 connector if I remember right. Check for a white wire.
