I’ve had the same issue! I live in a snowy area, and the sensors go off, saying they’re disabled, and the wipers don’t work even after scraping the snow off. I have to let the car run for 20+ minutes before I can drive. It’s really disappointing, especially when you need the safety features the most.
Even in California, rain can cause the collision sensors to act weird for a while when starting a trip.
If you’re expecting snow, you can pull the wipers away from the glass (you’ll need to put them in change mode).
A little bit of silicone spray can help a lot in the winter weather to prevent freezing.
