Anyone else dealing with random driver seat adjustments?

Ever since I got my 2024 Telluride SX-Prestige X-Pro, I’ve been having this weird issue where the driver’s seat adjusts on its own, even while I’m driving. I’ve turned off all the seat settings, but it still happens. I’ve been to the dealer three times, and they keep saying there’s no fix. It’s frustrating and feels unsafe. Anyone else having this problem?

Did you check if there’s a seat recall fix? There was one where the adjustment slider could get stuck. Also, there’s a lumbar support feature that adjusts every 30 or 60 minutes to help with comfort. You can turn that off completely.

@NANCY
I appreciate the suggestion. I checked, and there are no open recalls on my car. The lumbar support is off, along with all the other seat features. It mainly happens when I’m backing up.

If that’s not it, I’d definitely keep pushing the dealership. It’s not safe, and it needs to be fixed. Usually, the memory function won’t let you change settings while driving, so this shouldn’t be happening.

My partner’s 2023 Sorento SXP X-Line has the same issue. We noticed it happens most when switching driver profiles on the stereo. The dealer thinks it could be something to do with different settings on the driver 1 and 2 profiles.

@Mickey
Thanks for letting me know—sorry to hear you’re having the same issue. Did your dealer try to fix it, or is it still ongoing?

Are you talking about the seat massage feature that kicks in after about an hour? You can set it to every 30 minutes or turn it off.

Nope, not that. I’ve turned off all the seat features, but the seat still moves up, down, and back on its own while I’m driving.

@Evans
Might need to bring in a priest for this one. Sounds like it could be linked to that seat switch recall, even if your car isn’t showing it.

I’ve been in touch with the BBB Auto Line, and this might end up being a Lemon Law case. We’ll see where it goes.

@Evans
Good luck, hope it gets resolved!

Yes, my 2024 SX Prestige X-Pro does this too, and it drives me crazy! I’ve turned off all seat adjustments across the profiles, but the seat still moves. Can’t figure it out.
