For the lemon law question, if your car’s been in for service for a total of 30 days or has a major issue that can’t be fixed, it might qualify. I’d recommend talking to a lemon law attorney in your state.
I’m in the same boat. Bought mine in December 2023, and I’ve had all the same problems. I don’t think I’ll ever buy a Kia again.

What was the issue with the engine?
@Walton
Bad valve springs. They had to replace the entire engine, which took three months, and I had to keep pushing them to get it done.
If you want to get out of this, contact a lemon law attorney and see what your options are.
I’m in a similar situation. Bought mine in February, and one day it started shuddering badly, especially around 40 mph. It was in the shop for over a month while they tried to figure it out. Kia corporate got involved, and they finally fixed it just in time. They replaced the fuel computer, but I’m still worried about long-term damage. If it happens again, I’m going to file for lemon law and probably switch to Toyota or Mazda.
Make sure to check your rear shock struts. Both of mine are leaking.
