I’ve been reading up on the 2025 Kia Soul and it seems like it’s packed with some cool updates. The engine choices, especially that turbocharged one, sound interesting. But IDK… anyone have thoughts on the specs or if it’s worth checking out? Kinda curious about the ride quality and those tech features.
I had the 2023 model and loved it. The turbo engine looks promising though… 201 hp should make it pretty fun, right?

Yeah, 201 hp is decent, especially for a compact crossover. But is the fuel economy any good with that engine?
@Layla
Not bad… 27/32 mpg. Honestly, that’s pretty solid for a turbo, IMO.
Anyone know how roomy it is inside? I’ve got a small family and need decent cargo space.

It’s got 24.2 cu ft behind the second row and over 62 cu ft with the seats folded. Plenty of room for most family trips.
@renatahilda
Nice, thanks! That’s actually bigger than I thought.
What’s the deal with the safety features? Does it come standard with stuff like lane keeping and collision assist?

Yep, all those come standard. You get forward collision assist, lane keeping assist, and even driver attention warning.
@rsquarles
Cool, good to know! Safety is a big deal for me.

Some of the advanced stuff like blind-spot warning is only available on higher trims tho.
@ManKia
Makes sense… guess you gotta pay up for all the bells and whistles lol.
IDK about the handling with a torsion beam rear suspension. Anyone driven a car with that setup?

Torsion beams are fine for everyday driving but don’t expect it to feel sporty. It’s more for comfort.
@TurboSoulMate
Gotcha, thanks. As long as it handles city roads well, I’m good.
Does the electric version have fast charging? EVs are becoming a big deal now.

Yeah, they said 60 minutes from 10% to 80% with a 100 kW DC fast charger. Pretty solid, IMO.
@Vince
Thanks for that info! Still debating if I should go EV or stick with gas.

Only downside is the range… 243 miles is good, but not groundbreaking.

True, but it works for most commutes. Long trips? Yeah, range anxiety is real lol.
