Good evening…
My 2017 Sorento with a V4 GDI engine is burning through about a quart of oil every 700 miles. That can’t be normal, right?
Do you think this is fixable, or should I start thinking about trading it in for something else? Any advice would be awesome!
Your advise is highly valuable…
While a modest amount of oil consumption over time is acceptable for cars, excessive oil consumption may indicate a more serious problem.
It is imperative that you take immediate action if you discover that your 2017 Sorento is using a lot of oil.
Engine wear and tear over time can leave cracks that let oil seep into the combustion chamber.
It’s crucial to remember that there have been reports of high oil consumption problems with certain 2017 Sorento models. Your car may be covered by a recall or warranty if it is impacted.
An expert can identify the underlying reason for the oil usage and suggest the required fixes.
Use the dipstick to keep an eye on the oil level. If it’s declining noticeably in between oil changes, something may be wrong.
