Good morning…
Quick question – my brother-in-law’s 2016 Kia Rio got stolen “Kia Boyz” style, but luckily it was recovered. He thought Kia would cover the repair since it’s their security flaw, but the dealer quoted him $1,400 to fix/replace the ignition!
Isn’t this something Kia should be fixing for free? I’ve been looking around but can’t find anything saying they’ll replace the ignition, just that they offer a free anti-theft device.
Has anyone been through this or know where I can find info he can show the dealer? $1,400 for an ignition repair seems crazy to me.
Best wishes…
