My 2015 Kia Soul’s trunk latch won’t open when I press the button or use the key fob. I hear a fuse click but nothing happens. I’ve changed the latch and even jumped the button to activate it, but still no luck. Any suggestions?
Have you checked if it’s stuck? Try closing the latch with a screwdriver and see what happens.

Tried that boss, it doesn’t even try to unlock. I can manually unlock it with the back switch. We checked if voltage is getting to it, it sure is.

Oh, that got deleted… anyway, back to the topic. Maybe check the wiring harness boot? They often have cracked wires.
Found 2 broken wires, solder both and you should be good. Here is the wiring diagram if you need it.

I wish the person told me this before I spent $120 on a latch.

Ask always before replacing parts.
I did ask my brother, but someone on here told me bad latch.

Ok I see now.
The latch works but the car still thinks the trunk is open. Trace the white wire, it might be cracked somewhere on the boot area same spot where you find cracked wires.
Hope you manage to trace and find that white wire. If you need more help, feel free to reply here.
