Hey, I’m thinking about getting a new Kia, but the extended warranty prices at the dealership are way too high. Is there any other place I can buy a Kia-backed extended warranty apart from the dealership? Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
You already get a 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 10-year powertrain warranty included. Why are you thinking about getting an extended warranty now? Maybe after 5 years, but right now it feels like a waste.

It might be because the electrical and display systems are only covered for 36,000 miles or 3 years. That could be a concern.

I still think extended warranties are a waste of money, even for things like electrical issues. Instead, you could save that money. Put it aside, and if nothing happens, you’ve saved about $1,500. If something does happen, you’ll have a bit saved to help cover it. Plus, major things like the transmission are already covered under the 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
Where are you based?
