Vehicle Protection Plan - Worth It?

Hallo…

I’ve got a 2019 Kia Forte, and since I’m nearing the 5-year mark since I bought it, I’ve been getting these letters from my dealership. They say stuff like:
“As a valued customer of [Redacted] Kia, you may qualify for our vehicle protection plan. If you haven’t already covered your vehicle with a service contract, this program is designed to give you the same peace of mind as the factory warranty.” :anguished:
Has anyone actually gone for one of these? I know a lot of extended warranties and service contracts sound good but usually turn out to be a waste when you really need them. Anyone have real experience with these vehicle protection plans? Are they worth it, or should I just skip it?

In anticipation…

The choice of whether or not to get a car protection plan is ultimately a personal one. Before deciding, it’s crucial to thoroughly consider your needs and the details of the strategy.

Extended warranties, sometimes known as vehicle protection plans, can offer comfort by paying for unforeseen :flushed: repairs after the original manufacturer’s warranty has expired.

You might be able to get away without :unamused: an extended warranty if your vehicle is dependable and has a clean record.

An extended warranty can be beneficial :innocent: if you are aware of recognized problems with the model or parts of your vehicle.
