Thinking of upgrading the brakes on my Telluride... Any tips?

I’ve driven everything from a '67 Camaro with drum brakes to school buses and pickup trucks. The Telluride’s brakes are adequate but I expected a little more bite. I plan on upgrading the pads when the time comes.

Stop hating on the OP. The Telluride’s brakes are a weak spot compared to an Armada, Tahoe, or Highlander. Kia has a habit of vibrating/shuddering when braking over 40. An upgrade sounds good. I’d like suggestions too.

I have no issues with how the Telluride brakes. Our other car is a BMW X3. They’re just different cars with different characteristics. I don’t notice any issues switching between them in terms of expectations or performance. Maybe the OP just needs to adjust expectations for the Telluride.

OP rage quit faster than the brakes on his Golf R. Anyone who thinks the brakes on a family SUV are inadequate isn’t driving it right and needs to stop complaining.

Step one: stop driving the Telluride like it’s a Golf R. Step two: profit.
