Thinking about applying at Costco for the tire shop... any advice?

Hey everyone, I’m thinking about applying to work at Costco in the tire shop. I have a lot of experience with tire repairs and installations, but I’m not great with computers. Anyone know if that’s a big deal for this job? Any advice would help. Thanks!

I worked at Costco’s tire shop for a few years. Honestly, they care more about your hands-on skills than computer stuff. Just be ready to learn their system—it’s not hard.

That’s good to know. Do they provide training for their system?

Yeah, they train you during your first week. Don’t stress about it, you’ll pick it up quickly.

I don’t work there, but my partner does. They said the biggest thing is customer service skills. If you can make customers feel heard, you’ll do great.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve got plenty of experience working directly with customers, so that’s good to hear.

I heard they have great benefits too. That alone might make it worth applying, even if the job is a bit challenging at first.

Totally agree. My cousin works there and loves the benefits.

Not sure about Costco specifically, but in general, tire shops value experience a lot. Be honest about what you know, and you should be fine.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes if you decide to apply.
