I’m test driving the SX Prestige hybrid today. I want all the features. I’m heading to a Costco-associated dealer because I recently moved and need more space than my hatchback offers. Plus, I keep finding great stuff on Facebook marketplace, and it’s hard to carry everything. So, excited to test drive this one. I’m thinking about leasing it for now, but in three years, I might not need so much space and may prefer a smaller car.
I just bought the 2025 Prestige, not hybrid though. It’s been great so far. Took me a bit to get used to after only having Toyotas before, but now I really like it. I’ve had it for about a month now.

I’m going to check out the non-hybrid 2025 today too.
@Victor
Good luck .

What kind of MPG are you getting? I got a great offer today for the 2025 and I’m thinking of closing the deal tomorrow, but I’m concerned about gas prices.
@Victor
I’m getting about 28 MPG. It’s about $40 to fill up right now.
I’m thinking about the same car. Can you update us on your Costco experience? Did you think about the plug-in hybrid?

I did look into the plug-in hybrid, but the cost didn’t seem worth it to me.
@SchoolInSession
I’ve heard it’s great in some ways, but also has its downsides. If the prices were the same for all four options, I’d pick the plug-in hybrid. If the seller would throw in a home charger, I’d go electric.
Costco-associated dealer? What’s that about?

Some dealers are part of the Costco Car Buying program, which makes it easier to buy a car and can save Costco members some money.
@Tracy
Oh, so it’s the ‘Costco Auto Program’? I’m a member, but I never heard about this. Thanks .

Yup, no worries .
@Tracy
Hope it helps to pay a little less.
Why not the hybrid?

I’m actually looking at the hybrid. Were you asking the commenter above?

Oops, I missed the hybrid part. Sorry about that.
The one thing I’ll miss is the instant acceleration when I need it at highway speeds. My Honda Fit is awesome for that. The hybrid has the usual hesitation even in sport mode. But I really like everything else about the car. I’m still negotiating, though. Car buying or leasing… it’s the worst part of the process.
@SchoolInSession
I like messing with them, but that’s just me. Best deal I ever got came during an ice storm. I refused to go inside until they met my numbers. The sales guy had a terrible jacket compared to mine. Then, I had to get the car home in a mild ice storm… didn’t fall though .
I’m buying that car now, but I’m getting jerked around by finance. Really hate buying cars, so I hope this is the last one for a while.
