Hi all, I accidentally damaged the display in my 2020 Kia Sorento with a 2x4. Now, there’s no visual display, and audio only works from one speaker sporadically. It stops entirely when the car is turned off. Everything else seems to function normally. Is there any way to get all the speakers working again until I can replace the unit?
It sounds like the internal connections in the radio might have been damaged. Unfortunately, that would require replacing the unit to restore full functionality.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping there might be a temporary fix, but it sounds like replacement is the only option.
If the damage was severe enough to affect the display, it’s likely that the audio connections were also impacted. I’d recommend getting a replacement unit installed.

Makes sense. I’ll look into replacement options soon. Thanks for your input!
You could try checking the wiring harness and connectors to see if anything was jarred loose during the accident. If not, replacement might be your best bet.

Good idea. I’ll check the connectors before going ahead with a full replacement. Thanks!
If you decide to replace the unit, consider upgrading to an aftermarket system. Some of them have better features and might cost less than OEM replacements.

Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn’t considered aftermarket options, but I’ll explore that.
Depending on your insurance, this kind of damage might be covered. It’s worth checking before paying out of pocket for a replacement.

That’s a great idea! I’ll check with my insurance provider to see if it’s covered. Thanks for the tip!
