Low Oil Issue with 2017 Kia Soul - Any Similar Experiences?

Good afternoon… :unamused:

I know low oil can be a known issue, but my car was supposedly not part of the problem, and there’s no recall for it. I took it to my mechanic today for an oil change, and he said I was about 3 quarts low. He couldn’t find any leaks, so it looks like an “oil consumption issue.”I drive a 2017 Kia Soul with a manual transmission. Has anyone else had this problem with the same model/year? What did you do about it?
I called the dealership, and they suggested a $160 consumption test that might be covered under warranty if the warranty company approves it.
Any advice or similar experiences would be really helpful!

Any response will be appreciated…

Car fans This can be caused by a variety of issues, such as worn piston rings or valve seals

Sometimes, the oil level sensor may be faulty or the oil may not have been filled to the correct level. :innocent:

These can occur around gaskets, seals, or other components of the engine.
