I just got my new Kia Picanto GT-Line in white with red accents and the new Kia logo. It’s a lot of fun to drive, and I’ve got CarPlay (not wireless though…only Android Auto is wireless) and all the extra features I wasn’t expecting. This is my second Kia. Anyone got questions?
What was your first Kia, and how long did you drive it? Think Kia is as reliable as Honda or Toyota?

My first was also a Picanto…had it for about 10 years. It was definitely time to upgrade. For the price, the features are unbeatable, plus the 7-year warranty is nice.

That’s cool! I just bought a Sportage, and it’s much better than I expected. Can’t wait to see how long mine lasts .
Wait…only Android Auto is wireless? That’s surprising.

Yep, only Android is wireless. But I got myself a Carlinkit adapter to make it work.

Interesting…I might double-check at my local dealership. I thought both were wireless.
@stillermint
The website mentions ‘wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay’…I thought both would be wireless, but it’s just Android.
How does the Picanto handle on hills? Enough power?
I recently bought the GT 2022, and both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are wireless on mine. Do you think maybe there was a software update?

Oh, really? My dealer updated mine last week. I’ll have to check if it’s wireless now…fingers crossed.

I just checked the Kia website…they’re now listing wireless CarPlay. Hopefully, my update included it.
@SophyGenesis
Yeah, I use it wirelessly every day without cables. Check and let us know if it worked after the update .

Just tried it. Still no wireless CarPlay after the update. Really disappointing.
@SophyGenesis
That’s odd. You might want to get back in touch with your dealer and see if there’s a fix.

I looked up my model on the Kia website. Apparently, there’s a newer version with wireless CarPlay, TomTom navigation, alarm, and pedestrian detection…mine’s missing those.

For now, I’m just using the Carlinkit wireless adapter for CarPlay.
Anyone know where I can find a front bumper lip for my Kia Picanto GT-Line? Not too worried about top quality…just want it to look good and fit well.
