I just bought a 2017 Kia Forte with 125,000 miles on the clock for $6k in cash. It’s a bit dirty on the outside, but I plan to take it for a wash once I have the insurance sorted. Do you think it was worth the price?
I own a 2011 model with over 300,000 km and it still runs well without any serious issues. Enjoy your ride, it’s a fun car to drive.
Looks good.

Thanks
I have the same model, a 2018 with fog lights, and it has 103k km. I’ve had two accidents but it’s still running like new.

That’s great to hear! I’ve only driven it from the dealer, but it feels smooth compared to my old shaky Focus. The only thing I noticed is that it’s a bit slow to pick up speed, but I expected that from a compact car.
I bought the same model, but in black, last year. I recently changed the spark plugs and the battery. It runs great and is excellent on gas. No issues since I got it.

Yay, that’s great to hear! Glad it’s working well for you.
These cars are really reliable, especially the manual ones. But that price seems a bit high considering the mileage. It would be better at 50-70k miles.

The price depends on where you live. Cars tend to be cheaper in Texas compared to places like San Francisco.
@Wyatt
I live in Massachusetts, where car prices are inflated. It’s still a bit steep.

According to KBB, it’s worth around $4500 to $5700 in very good condition, so yeah, it seems a little overpriced.
@KIADOC
Yeah, I’m in Oklahoma, and used car prices here are insane. You can’t find anything priced according to KBB unless it’s a 2005 Civic with 400k miles. I also needed a car urgently as the insurance took my totaled 2016 Focus, and there were issues getting a rental because of my age.
I bought my 2016 Forte5 LX with 128k miles less than two years ago. I had to replace the spark plugs, battery, and oil pressure sensor, but it runs great and is really good on gas. The car runs smoothly, though it does vibrate a bit inside. I have the 2.0L with 176hp, so it’s pretty punchy too. Overall, it’s a great hatchback.
@Evanson
I have a 2016 5 with the 2.0L. It’s been a bit vibrate-y at idle since it was new. Now it has 150k km, and the only parts I’ve replaced are the front brake pads and rear pads & rotors.

So it’s not just me! I was always worried there was something wrong with my car because it’s very vibrate-y at idle too. Thanks for putting my mind at ease.

The 1.6T in the Forte GT can be vibrational as well, but it just keeps running. It’s at 110k miles now.
I have a 2019 Kia Forte, and I absolutely love it .
I have the same year but it’s a hatchback. I bought it over a year ago. I changed the spark plugs and flushed the transmission, and it’s still running fine.
I have a 2018 model. It’s been great for me, though it only has 58k miles.
