Is this a good price for a 7400-mile used 2023 SX Prestige? What are the main differences from 2024 or 2025 models?

I’m looking at a used 2023 SX Prestige with 7400 miles. Do you think it’s a good deal? Are there any major differences compared to the 2024 or 2025 models I should consider?

It sounds like a decent deal. The only thing I’ve noticed between the years is that the newer models have white DRLs instead of amber.

That price feels off to me. Are you seriously paying $900 for ‘doc’ fees? That’s ridiculous. Try to negotiate and get those fees removed.

Why are they charging doc fees on a used car? Sounds sketchy.

The price seems fair, but there could be some tricks with the trade-in. For instance, they might lower the car’s price and undervalue the trade-in to make it look better. Watch out for that.

Are you sure it’s 7.4k miles? Could it be 74k?

No, it’s definitely 7.4k.

No, it’s definitely 7.4k.

I’d double-check that. The picture looks blurry, and it almost seems like 74k miles.

I edited the exact mileage before posting for privacy reasons.

We got a brand-new 2024 with the same trim for $47k out the door. With our down payment, the financing amount was even lower. You might want to consider getting a new one.

Where did you manage to find a Telluride for $10k under the sticker price? Most I’ve seen is $5-6k off, and those deals are rare.

@Cindie
Check out oakeskia.com. That’s where we got ours.

That’s a great deal. What kind of financing rate did you get with that price?

We got something under 5%.

@raju
That’s amazing! Did you go through a credit union?

No, it was a big bank.

Those $900 document fees are just dealer profit. Some states have laws to cap them—like $75 in NY or $300 in others—but in Florida, they can be crazy high. Dealers also have to charge everyone the same doc fee, which is wild.

@terryann
Yeah, seems like it’s a Florida thing based on what I found online.

That makes sense. It’s just one of the costs of buying a car in Florida, I guess.

At that price, you might as well look at a new S model. You’ll get the full warranty and avoid those 7.4k miles of wear.
