Hallo …
I’ve got a 2020 Kia Optima, and I’ve been hearing about the KSDS (Knock Sensor Detection System) update for some Kia models. From what I’ve read, it helps catch engine problems early before they cause serious damage, which sounds like something I definitely want.
Does anyone know if this update is available for the 2020 Optima yet? I’ve looked around but can’t figure out if my car qualifies or if I need to go to the dealership for it. Any info or personal experience with this update would be super helpful!
In anticipation and many regards…
Updates may not always be available depending on certain models, years, or even production dates within a model year.
The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of your car can be used by your dealership to find out if any upgrades are necessary.
Give your nearest Kia service center a call or stop by. Give Your VIN. Give them the VIN of your car.
Make an appointment for a service call if an update is required.
Your 2020 Kia Optima probably has the KSDS (Knock Sensor Detection System) upgrade available. But it’s important to confirm this with your local Kia store.
