Check out the damage here
That’s just one body panel to replace. Definitely not totaled.

Exactly what I was thinking!

That’s good to hear! I was worried since my insurance company said it might be totalled. Hoping it’s not.
@bernardelliots
Nah, that’s totalled.

Oh, it’s definitely totalled. No one’s fixing a trunk pan and crash bar on a high-mileage Kia Soul.
Hard to say from a photo. A 2013 Kia Soul with high miles isn’t worth much, so it wouldn’t take much to total it.

Yeah, that’s what’s making me nervous. The mileage isn’t helping.
@bernardelliots
If it’s totalled and you still want it, your insurance can give you a check minus salvage value. You could fix it yourself by grabbing parts from a scrapyard, then apply for a rebuilt title. It’s a bit of work, but cheaper.
@Harris
I’m not sure it’s worth all that trouble. It’s been a good car, but it’s got major oil consumption issues.
It’s probably totalled because fixing it might cost more than the car’s worth. Check the value on KBB and compare it to repair costs.

Yeah, that’s kind of what I was thinking. Bummer.
@bernardelliots
Sorry this happened. Maybe it’s time to upgrade. I have a 2016 Soul, and seeing all these issues on here makes me nervous. Good luck! Don’t forget full coverage and UM/UIM on your next car.
@CarCraze
Thanks! I had full coverage but dropped it last year because the car’s value dropped. Curious to see what insurance says. It’s been a good car besides the catalytic converter and alternator issues.
My car was totalled after being rear-ended because the frame was bent. The door didn’t line up with the body. Do you see anything like that?

I don’t think I see anything like that. Sorry that happened to you.
@bernardelliots
Yeah, it sucked. You couldn’t tell while driving, but the back door was hard to close.

I didn’t even try to open the trunk—too scared to!
Check if the spare tire area is bent. If it is, it’s probably totalled.
It’s not totalled.
