I’m being offered a 2024 SX Prestige X-Line for $55,400 out the door. Trying to figure out if this is reasonable or if I should push for a better deal. Thoughts?
Sales tax can really change the final price depending on where you live, so including it doesn’t tell us much. Could you break down the numbers?

Sure! I’m in Florida. The vehicle price was around 55k, then I got 5k in incentives, but with taxes and fees it went back up to 55k.
@Garcia
I got a 2025 Telluride SX Prestige X-Line with factory-installed tow hitch and some extras for $57K out the door, taxes included (in the Tampa Bay Area). I’d say $55k for a stock 2024 model isn’t a great deal.
Can you tell us the price of the vehicle before any taxes and fees?

It’s $55k before adding those.

That price is pretty high. Most competitive dealers are around $50k for this model, and a few even closer to $48k.
@DeeMario
Are you saying the $50k and $48k are out-the-door prices?

Nope, those are the prices before taxes and fees.

Wouldn’t it end up around 55k after including taxes and fees?
@Garcia
It depends on your dealer and location. At 6% tax and no dealer fees, a $48k or $50k price would come out to about $50.8k to $53k out the door.
No, I paid that much when MSRP was still considered a good deal.

I’m thinking of trying to get it down to $53k. If they accept, do you think I should go for it?

If you’re okay with that, go for it. We paid MSRP and don’t regret it. But now, people are getting deals 4-5k below MSRP. If there are any dealer add-ons bringing it up, I’d try to remove those.
I paid about the same the day they started taking orders for the 2024 models…so it might not be the best deal now.
I’d say it’s too high. I got the SX-X Line for $49.8k out the door in July (Orlando). Prestige adds about $3k more. With 2025 models available now, I’d push for $53k or even less.
A good deal really depends on how much you like the car! I paid about that, including an extended warranty. I also negotiated a few extras on mine, so for me, it was worth it. If you like the vehicle, go for it.
Out-the-door price doesn’t mean much here.
What’s the MSRP and how much are they taking off of that? Also, are they adding any extras?
Which part of FL? I got a 2025 SX-X at Century in Tampa for $49k out the door. Prestige isn’t really worth an extra $6k, and it’s a 2024 model…they’re probably eager to sell it.
How are we supposed to know if it’s a good deal without more details?
