How's your MPG with the 2025 Sportage gas model?

I wanted to start a thread for everyone with the 2025 Sportage gas model to share their MPG experiences. Let’s see how it’s performing for different folks.

I’ve got a 2023 Sportage X-Line gas model, and I’m seeing the same mileage on the highway as you.

That’s about where my wife’s Tucson sits too. I managed to get around 40.5 MPG on my K5 recently.

I miss my K5—it was great on gas.

I almost got a Sportage because I liked my wife’s Tucson. But when the K5 came out, I went for it since she already had an SUV and I also have a truck. Didn’t see the point in us having two SUVs. I love my K5, but sometimes I wish I’d gone with the Sportage. Its fuel efficiency isn’t far off from my K5’s. Plus, I’ve heard the mileage gets better after the first oil change. Too bad there’s no K5 hybrid like the Sonata.

It’s wild that an SUV can get this kind of mileage without being a hybrid. So jealous.

My hybrid averages between 40 and 43 MPG.

I just got a 2025 Sportage gas model last week. I live in a really hot area and don’t trust hybrid batteries to last long. I also drive a lot, so the 100,000-mile battery warranty wouldn’t last me long. If I can get 30+ MPG, I’ll be really happy.

@alexander
30+ MPG is great, but watch out. Short trips and aggressive driving can drop it to around 20 MPG.

@EvansBrown
I get 17-20 MPG in similar conditions with my 2024 Sportage 2.0L gas model.

Sounds about right. I’m mainly using the gas engine for most of my trips.

Hit 42 MPG on the highway with my 2022 Kia Soul. Pretty happy with it.

Just finished a drive with 5.2L/100km in my Forte5. That’s around 47 MPG according to Google.

The car was warm, and I used cruise control as much as I safely could. But I think cars are usually a bit optimistic about MPG. Even at 6L/100km, I’m really impressed. Love this car so far!

My 2024 Sportage hybrid consistently gets 35-38 MPG.

@SANDRA
Wait, is this a gas model? How did you manage this? What speed and type of terrain?
